I’m so excited to show you this as I’ve never blogged about indie brands before but trust me, I will show you many more in the future!
The nail polish I want to show you today is called “Cyance Friction” from Nerd Lacquer. The girl behind this (Amanda) mixes her own nail polishes and comes up with these really great names that are kind of geeky, just like the brand name Nerd Lacquer would suggest. I love the idea and creativity behind this, and the colours and glitter combinations are really unique.
One of Amanda’s newest shades is Cyance Friction, which came out together with two other shades called “The Quantum Bluniverse” and “The Selfish Green” and the whole trio is called NerdCrush.
Here is what Amanda says about Cyance Friction (I can not describe it any better, so sorry for the copy paste ;))
CYANCE FRICTION is a super bright cyan/teal with copper shimmer, large and medium copper hexagonal glitter, medium turquoise square glitter, and a gorgeous pink-violet flash. Opaque in two coats, and unarguably fabulous. Cyance Friction exists because Michael Shermer is so freaking awesome.
Maybe I’ll add that the most colour accurate picture is the first one – most of the times it looks more green than teal and almost neon. Wow! I especially love the pink/violet/blueish shimmer that is really visible – combining green, violet and copper is what makes this so unique, along with the fact that you have a mixture of flecks, glitter in various sizes and an opaque base colour. Love it! On to the pictures which show 2 coats and no top coat – it dries pretty smooth for a chunky glitter nail polish!
Nerd Lacquer can be purchased from Amanda’s Etsy shop, from Harlow & Co and, since a few days, from Ninja Polish. Right now they are out of stock in all these shops, but if you want to know when they will be back, make sure to subscribe to the email notifications of these shops, that helps a lot! Good luck snatching some of these beauties 🙂
